The things people often ask before they book

Answered openly and honestly so that you can determine whether working with me and this modality is the right fit for you

Before you book

What actually is kinesiology?

Kinesiology is a holistic practice that uses muscle testing as a form of biofeedback to explore what may be creating stress or imbalance within the body.

In the CAAHM Method, we work with the idea that your body holds information about your experiences — including emotional patterns, beliefs, stress, energy and other influences that may be affecting how you're feeling.

Muscle testing provides a way to communicate with the body and identify areas that may be ready to be explored and released.

Rather than me telling you what is wrong or what you need to change, the intention is to facilitate a conversation with your body, allowing it to guide the session and uncover what may be sitting beneath the surface.

The goal isn't to fix you.

It's to help you listen to yourself more deeply, release what may no longer be serving you, and reconnect with your own inner knowing.

It isn't a diagnosis and it doesn't replace medical care. It's a way of listening to the whole picture.

What happens during an in-person session?

Every session begins with a conversation so I can understand what’s happening for you, what you’d like to explore and where you’re experiencing physical, emotional or energetic stress.

From there, we use kinesiology and muscle testing to explore what your body is communicating and work with the underlying patterns that may be contributing to what you’re experiencing.

There’s no need to come with everything figured out. You simply bring yourself and whatever is currently taking up space for you.

How does a remote session work?

Remote sessions work in much the same way as an in-person session — the difference is that you don't need to be physically with me.

Before your session, you'll complete a short questionnaire and upload a recent photo of yourself. This gives me what I need to connect with your energy remotely and begin the session.

On the day of your scheduled remote appointment, I work with your energy from my home clinic, muscle testing myself to communicate with your body and identify what is ready to be explored and released.

You don't need to be lying down, meditating or doing anything during the session. You can simply go about your day while I do the work.

After your session, I'll send you a personalised summary of what came up, what we worked on and any suggestions or reflections that may support you moving forward.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Life happens, and I completely understand that sometimes plans change.

For in-person appointments, I’d really appreciate at least 24 hours' notice if you’re unable to make your session. You’ll receive a reminder text 48 hours before your appointment, giving you the opportunity to confirm or cancel.

Please note that sessions are non-refundable once the session has been received, whether your session was completed in person or remotely.

If you need to make a change to your appointment, please get in touch as soon as possible so we can work out the best option.

In the session

What actually happens in a session?

Three steps: a conversation, then muscle testing to let the body add to the story, then working with whatever it's communicating. The full walkthrough is here.

Is it invasive?

Not very — and you’re always in the driver's seat.

Kinesiology doesn't require you to share anything you don't feel comfortable sharing. You don't have to unpack your entire life story, relive difficult experiences or have the “right” words for what you're feeling.

We start with whatever you'd like to bring to the session, and from there, muscle testing can help us explore what your body is communicating beneath the surface.

Sometimes the things that come up may feel deeply personal or emotional, but you decide what you share, what you explore and where your boundaries are. You can pause, say no or change direction at any point.

For in-person sessions, you'll remain fully clothed and there is no invasive physical examination. The muscle testing itself is gentle and involves light pressure against your arm.

Think of it less as someone digging into your life and more as creating a space where your body gets a chance to simply communicate with you.

You don't have to tell me everything for your body to tell us something.

How long do sessions take?

Sessions are around 1.5 hours, give or take.

I don't believe in rushing the process or watching the clock. Every woman and every session is different, so we'll take the time we need to explore what your body is bringing forward.

Some sessions may be a little shorter, some a little longer — the 1.5 hours is simply a guide rather than a strict timeframe.

It's your time to slow down, listen in and create a little space to come back to yourself.

What should I wear?

Whatever makes you feel comfortable, relaxed and most like yourself.

For in-person sessions, you'll remain fully clothed, so there's no special clothing required. I recommend something comfortable that allows you to relax and move your arm easily for muscle testing — think comfy clothes rather than anything restrictive.

And if you're coming straight from school drop-off, work, or wrangling the kids, don't overthink it. You don't need to arrive looking a certain way. Come as you are.

For remote sessions, wear whatever you like — you can even stay in your pyjamas. 🤍

Afterwards

How many sessions will I need?

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. It depends on what you’re coming in with, what you’d like to work on, and what your body is ready for.

For some women, one session may be enough to create a noticeable shift. For others, a few sessions may be helpful to work through deeper or more layered patterns. There is never any pressure to book more than one session. I will simply make a suggestion based on what we are working with and what the body communicates.

Will I feel something straight away?

Maybe. Maybe not. There is no “right” way to feel after a session.

Some women notice a shift straight away — less tension, a sense of calm, reduced anxiety or a newfound clarity. Others notice something much more subtle, or find that things begin to energetically unfold in the days or weeks that follow.

Sometimes the shift isn't a huge “aha!” moment. It can be a small change in trajectory. A deeper connection to yourself and your body that starts influencing the decisions you make, the boundaries you set, the things you say yes or no to, or the way you respond to something that once felt difficult.

Things can unfold when they're ready to. The subtle shifts matter just as much as the big ones.

You might feel lighter. You might feel clearer. You might simply find yourself listening to your own inner knowing a little more closely.

There isn't a right or wrong experience to have, and you don't have to search for evidence that something has changed. We simply stay open to what unfolds — whether that's a noticeable shift in the moment or a quiet change that reveals itself over time.
