Supporting recovery after an injury

Most of my recovery clients arrive already working with a physio or doctor. My role isn't to replace that plan - it's to look at what the injury changed elsewhere in the body while it was healing.

Injuries rarely stay local

Favor one ankle for six weeks and your hips, opposite knee, and lower back all quietly adjust to compensate. Once the original injury is cleared, those adjustments often don't undo themselves on their own.

Why "cleared" isn't always "resolved"

A scan or a physio discharge tells you the tissue has healed. It doesn't tell you whether the compensation patterns built up during recovery have settled back to normal. That gap is often where lingering stiffness or a nagging sense of imbalance comes from.

What sessions focus on

We test through the areas that carried the load during recovery, correct what's still holding a defensive pattern, and check that movement feels even again - not just pain-free, but actually balanced.

If you're a few months post-injury and something still feels slightly off even though you've been "cleared," that's usually worth a session.
